We are in need of volunteers for Coffee Time, Flowers and Communion Bread for this Sunday, April 18th. If you can help please send Carol an email by 11:15 a.m. today or call the church office at 303-816-6864.

Join us on Wednesday, April 14th at Noon for our Brown Bag Bible Study.
 
The next meeting of the Call Committee will be at church at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) on Saturday, April 17th.
 
The Call Committee reports the following results from the Pastoral Gifts of Ministry survey.
     There were 29 surveys returned and the 5 Top Priority gifts responses, listed in order were:
1) Help people develop their spiritual life
2) Be an effective communicator
3-4, tie) Bring joy and good humor to relationships
            Have a strong commitment and loyalty to the Lutheran Church
5) Build a sense of community among the people with whom he/she works
 
The 5 Very Helpful gifts responses, listed in order were:
1) Bring joy and good humor to relationships
2-3, tie) Build a sense of community among the people with whom he/she works
            Be effective in working with children
4) Be effective in working with youth
5, tie) Be an effective administrator
         Be an effective teacher
         Be skilled in planning and leading programs
         Be creative and innovative about his or her tasks
 
 
 
We have accumulated a small collection of caps, gloves, jackets and a sweater near the front door hanger area. We plan to donate these if their owners do not claim them by May 2, 2010.
 
 
The 9Health Fair will be held at the Evergreen Elks Lodge (27972 Iris Drive) on April 21st, 22nd, & 23rd from 7:00 to 9:30 a.m. There are many free screenings available as well as the Blood Chemistry Screening for $30.00, PSA for Men for $25.00 and Blood Count Screening for $15.00. No credit cards accepted, cash or check only. For more information call Mt. Evans Hospice at 303-674-6400 or visit www.9HealthFair.org. Other mountain-area sites include Platte Canyon High Schoolon Saturday, April 17th from 7:00 a.m to 12:00 p.m. and West Jefferson Middle Schoolon Saturday, April 24th from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

 
The Interfaith Food Pantry Monthly Challenge for the month of April is CANNED FRUIT. Please bring what you can so that we can win the traveling trophy. It was announced earlier this week that Deer Park UMC won the challenge for March. Now it is our turn!
 
There will be a training class for all Interfaith Food Pantry Volunteers at DPUMC on Saturday, April 24th at 1:00 p.m. There will be several recent changes to the guidelines included so everyone who volunteers is encouraged to attend.
 
There is an Interfaith Food Pantry Volunteer Appreciation Pot Luck Reception on Saturday, April 24th at the Mountain Resource Center from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Please see the attached flyer for more information.
